What I Actually Do for Clients…the Full Picture

A behind-the-scenes look at Rewired Strategies.

"Somewhere between the flowers and the first dance, I fell in love with it."

When people ask me what I do, I say I help small business owners with their digital marketing. It sounds simple, right? Actually, the behind-the-scenes is much more interesting than it sounds. There are so many layers to my work, and what’s so intriguing to me is that everyone I talk to is at a different stage in their business journey.

Digital marketing is a broad term and truly encompasses many digital marketing avenues. Avenues that continually change as technology evolves, and now with AI, I can’t even imagine what the future of online platforms will look like. Regardless, as a business owner and from someone who knows a whole lot of other business owners, you have to get out there. It’s a true non-negotiable in my book.

Imagine having a business or think of your own business. You don’t know how to get the word out or how to bring people in the door; technology is passing you by each day, and you’re plain overwhelmed with all of it. How do you begin to dig yourself out? How do you even know your priorities?

One of the things I love about my initial conversation with a client is the investigation. My head is clear at the beginning of the chat, and midway through I swear you can literally see the wheels turning in my eyes. It’s the questions I pose to them, it’s the dialogue, it’s their body language, and it’s how I can see their struggles brought to life. Most clients come to me struggling with ALL of it…consistency, time, organization, and visibility. And…this is where we begin.

I like to say I have a tool in the toolbox for the situations presented. Over the years, that toolbox has grown into something I'm really proud of.

Here's what working with me can actually look like...

  • Website

    • For some clients, it starts with a website. Maybe they've never had one, or the one they have hasn't been touched in years. I build websites from scratch…from the very first design idea all the way through to publishing. And after that, I hang around for updates, maintenance, and strategy.

  • Content Creation

    • For others, it’s content. Static graphics, reels, carousels. It could be that good-quality visuals are the missing piece to their puzzle.

  • Content Planning & Strategy

    • Maybe it’s the strategy, the planning sessions we have. The brainstorming, mapping things out, formulating a plan with a flow and frequency that works.

  • Consultations & Monthly Check-Ins

    • Providing that nudge you need to keep going and stay on track can make a world of difference when you feel lost. A sounding board to hear yourself talk and work through your ideas.

  • Email Marketing

    • For some, it’s email marketing. One of the questions I always get asked is “Do I even need an email list?” or “Is email marketing still relevant?" Yes, and yes. When Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and LinkedIn go down one day (let’s hope not, but let’s take precautions), you will have a solid method of communication. It’s a quality way to nurture a potential client, target a specific group, and meet an audience where they hang out daily. Some clients need to launch an email system, some need to “spruce” theirs up, and some even need someone else to do it for them.

  • On-Site Content Creation

    • And then there's the work that surprises people most...on-site and wedding content creation. This one wasn’t planned; it evolved. It started with one client…a wedding planner who needed someone to capture behind-the-scenes content of what it actually takes to put on a wedding. What do you know?! Somewhere between the flowers and the first dance, I fell in love with it. Fast forward to today…I've filmed weddings across the Pittsburgh area; I've had couples hire me directly to capture their day, and next week I'm heading to Venice Beach, California, for a destination wedding. I never put "destination content creator" on my business plan. But, oh my goodness…here we are. Cheers to exciting pages in the book called life.

Today, multiple clients, all different. Some full service, some consultations, some monthly tasks, and some daily tasks. Every single day something is happening for someone. Whether it’s reviewing a website with a client, holding a phone consultation, working behind my monitors, or capturing those extra special moments on a special day…I’m here for it all.

This isn’t a sales pitch or a services page but a glimpse into what happens behind the scenes at Rewired Strategies, and I love every busy, multi-tasked, screen-filled day of it 🧡
